Oh. Man. L.A.S says he messes with this joint and I can see why. Unconstructed and half-lined, it’s got the perfect fit to be dressed up or down. Offhand, my wife said this jacket looked the best on me out of the ones reviewed so far.
Where it really sets itself apart, though, is the fabric: incredibly soft, washed cotton that just feels more substantial than any of the other jackets I’ve reviewed. Unfortunately, that probably makes it impractical for my bike commute. Still, I had this hanging in the bedroom, and every time I walked by it I couldn’t help but reach out and touch it.
Best of all, it’s the cheapest of all the jackets, just $99 pre-shipping. Looks like they only have XL and up in navy, but it’s still available in khaki in all sizes.
Banana Republic’s offering should be arriving on Wednesday, and if it doesn’t come hard, Brooks Brothers is the hands-down winner.
