Die, Workwear!: Double Four-in-Hand
My knot of choice. You keep the nonchalance of the four-in-hand, but add the heft of a thicker knot.
While I first tried it because I appreciated the aesthetics, I’ve kept using the double four-in-hand for a more practical reason: the second loop takes in a bit of extra length, perfect for shorter guys like myself.
After my last post, a few people over at Twitter reminded me of the double four-in-hand. It’s not going to give you the width of the Pratt, but it’ll give you a bit more heft to the traditional four-in-hand. Just tie your four-in-hand as you normally would, but wrap it around twice.
