Today.
Think I need to get these pants tapered. One of the things about being 5’7” is that hemming unfinished trousers involves chopping 8” or more from the bottom, which can add as much as an inch to the original leg opening. When I forget to specify tapering at the tailor, they splay out as you see above.
At least, that’s what I think is going on. Thoughts?

I think the width of the leg opening is fine. The issue that I see, and mind you I only see it on the right leg, is that the back of the leg is not long enough.

Maybe a slight taper and potentially cuffs? I find lighter fabrics benefit nicely from cuffs to give them more of a weight and better line.

What catches my eye is not the cuff but the crease, which is rumpled all down the shin. I don’t know if that a cuff/length issue or a taper-from-the-knee issue…?

I think they need a tiny lift in the break and just a slight taper. I see you are in the big thigh club with me, so I advise against anything more than slight taper. See Ethan Desu.
